LUCKNOW: At least 82 people were diagnosed with novel coronavirus infection on Wednesday, taking the active case count to 617. Meanwhile, 112 patients recovered from infection in the past 24 hours.
Most of those who tested positive had come in contact with patients found infected earlier, 18 had influenza-like symptoms, and two were non-Covid patients who were diagnosed with infection during a routine check-up.
In the city, 14 cases came from Indiranagar, followed by Alambagh (12), Aliganj (11), Kaiserbagh (10), Chinhat (7), NK Road (5), Sarojininagar (3). Old City and Turiyaganj reported one case each.
"All those tested positive for Covid-19 are recovering in home isolation and their condition is being monitored closely," said chief medical officer Dr Manoj Agrawal.
