Luca Bish's family have posted an apology to his Instagram account after his behaviour on last night's episode of Love Island.
The family received backlash from fans over the Love Island star's explosive reaction to Gemma Owen 's conversation with Billy Brown.
Luca was left fuming after Gemma had a harmless interaction with the Casa Amor boy and he accused her of flirting with him.
After seeing a clip of the conversation during Movie Night, Luca told Dami: "Trust me when I say if she wants to f***ing play it down to me, I will f***ing explode."
Gemma later told Luca to "get over yourself" as she said he was "overreacting".
In response, his family have posted an apology to his Instagram story.
The post, which is no longer on his story, said: "I want to apologise on behalf of Luca for his insensitive reaction on last night's episode. I know that when he watches it back, he will be embarrassed and deeply apologetic.
The post then said the family don't "condone his behaviour" however they "do understand he is in an intense environment where his actions are heightened".

It looks like Luca has a close relationship with his family as the whole Bish brood have been watching his Love Island journey.
Luca has one sister, Claudia, who has been giving fans a behind the scenes look into his family life on TikTok.
For the launch episode of the series, Claudia hosted a watching party for the whole family which featured a balloon arch with Luca's name, an island themed cake and Luca's mum even came dressed for the occasion in beach wear.
In another video, Luca's mum recalled his childhood antics when reacting to a Love Island clip showing Luca stood on his head, she revealed that as a kid Luca would learn algebra while standing on his head.
Luca's mum and dad have both been watching him in the villa, including his saucy moments with Gemma.
In a hilarious clip shared to his Instagram story, Luca's parents could be seen to be joking about the moment that Luca sucked Gemma's toe, with Luca's mum offering her own foot up to his dad.
Luca's also close to his grandmothers. In one Instagram post before he entered the villa he called his grandmother his "best mate".
And it seems that both of his grandmothers are also staying updated about his Love Island antics.
His sister shared a video to her TikTok where she asked them how they'd feel if Luca did "the deed" on national television
One of his grandmother's responded saying: "making love is a private thing".
While the other took another approach and said she'd even watch because: "it's alright they have the cover anyway".
Who is running Luca Bish's Instagram account?
Luca Bish's social media accounts are being run by his sister Claudia while he's in the villa.
Claudia is a CEO and now has over 100,000 followers on TikTok, where she posts videos about Luca, a day in her life as a CEO, and home tours.
CLaudia previously opened up to The Sun about all the propositions Luca had been getting from girls in his Instagram DMs since appearing on the ITV dating show.
She said: “There are a lot of people who have kind of written their CV ready for him to come out.
“The message kind of starts with, ‘don’t find this weird but please can you make sure your brother sees this when he’s out. I’m 24, I'm from Hertfordshire’.
“It’s all like that, it’s almost like an opening of Love Island.
“There’s been some really funny ones, but oh my god there’s so many, I get at least hundreds.”
But as the show's gone on the messages have quickly turned nasty as fans react to Luca's behaviour and treatment of the girls in the villa.
After Sunday night's Movie Night episode, Claudia had to plead with trolls to stop sending abuse.
Posting to his Instagram story, she said: "Please, please, please stop messaging abuse. Luca can’t even see it… the people that love him most can.
"I’ve just been sick from crying so much at the death threats (an hour on from that last story). How can people be so inhumane."
She also posted screenshots of messages that had been received on the Instagram account, showing the sickening extent of the abuse, which included death threats.
She captioned the post: "The hardest night of my entire life. This is happening every second.
"Just so beyond grateful Luca isn't here to read these. Heartbroken".
