Love Island winner Amber Gill hits back at being 'blamed' for shock result

Ex Love Island star Amber Gill has hit back at angry fans who blamed her for a shock result in Love Island's latest public vote.

With the villa still reeling from the fallout of the explosive Movie Night, which saw contestants get a first look at some incriminating footage from their time on Love Island, they got very excited at the news they'd be heading out for a day at Island Vibes Club.

However, host Laura Whitmore arrived to gate crash the party and deliver some bad news - the public had once again been voting for their favourite Islanders.

The outcome of the vote saw jaws drop amongst the Islanders and fans watching at home as both Jake and, more surprisingly Kaz, found themselves in danger of being dumped.

Kaz landed in the bottom three girls alongside Abi and Mary, while Jake was placed in danger with Tyler and Dale.

Amber, who won Love Island with Greg O'Shea in 2019, was among those taken aback by Kaz being at risk, tweeting: "How was Kaz is in the bottom 3? Who the hell was everyone else voting for? It’s fine they won’t let her leave."

However, the comment thread underneath amber's tweet was quickly filled with accusations that she had tried to turn people against Kaz.

One replied: "Weren't you some of the people pushing the agenda against Kaz? why are you shocked that she's in the bottom?"

Another follower reminded Amber of tweet she posted days earlier which read: "Kaz should have apologised to Matt I can’t lie it hasn’t been fair."

After a third responded: "Weren't you on the Kaz hate train last week?" Amber tweeted again, firing back: "I’m sorry but I will not take responsibility for who the British public voted for."

Backing the Gateshead-born star, one fan commented: "it’s not amber’s fault if people can’t make their own decisions and think for themselves… she’s allowed to have an opinion without having to take responsibility for other’s decisions."

And putting the blame firmly on Kaz, another wrote: "She was in the bottom because of the situation with Matthew. Which she caused by herself."
