Love Island vote leaves three couples in jeopardy as viewers have their say

The Love Island villa is rocked by the bombshell of an unexpected public vote, which leaves three couple at risk of being dumped.

At the end of Monday's episode of the ITV2 show, viewers at home were asked to vote for their 'most compatible' couple.

After another recoupling, the options were Lucinda and Brad, Millie and Liam, Sharon and Hugo, Kaz and Aaron, Liberty and Jake, Chloe and Toby and Faye and Teddy, after the new boy picked her at the expense of Rachel's place in the villa.

The Love Island cast had no clue that the public had been casting their votes for the first time this series, with the news delivered to them by text, in scenes that will air on Tuesday's show.

The Islanders are chatting in the garden when Liam receives a text which reads: “Can all Islanders gather around the fire pit immediately.”

As they gather at the fire pit, Liberty receives a text which reads: “Islanders. The public have been voting for the couple that they think is the most compatible.

"Those with the fewest votes risk being dumped tonight. Please all stand up.”

The Islanders receive more texts which reveal the four couples who received the most votes from the public, and are therefore safe.

The three couples with the fewest votes are left standing, with viewer set to find out their fate tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.

At the time of writing, bookies tipped Liberty and Jake to win the new series on odds of 21/1, ahead of Chloe and Toby and Lucinda and Brad.

Down at the other end of the betting, Sharon and Hugo aren't well fancied at all as things stand, with Betfair having them on odds of 66/1.
