Love Island viewers 'obsessed' with East Lothian star's new 'bromance'

Viewers were all saying the same thing about the new contestants on Wednesday's episode of Love Island.

East Lothian islander Jay and Remi Lambert quickly caused a stir in the villa as well as on Twitter.

Jay Younger from Musselburgh is the first Scottish contestant to enter the island this year.

When asked about why he wanted to enter the villa, Jay said: "I think I genuinely have what most females want.

“I’ve got a good job, I think I am a good looking lad and I have a lot of fun so I feel like I could add a lot of value to their lives if they add a lot of value to mine.”

He entered the villa with Remi as the two new bombshells on Tuesday night but it didn't take long for him to make an impact, and viewers reckon a new 'bromance' could be blossoming already.

Jay already made himself known to the group and quickly put Jacques in his place when he told him he looked "small for a rugby player."

And as the islanders got into bed, fans thought Jay and Remi looked like they had sparked a connection already.

One wrote: "Thought Jay and Remi were about to spoon #loveisland."

A second said: "Awwww not the Remi and Jay bromance already!"

"I ship Remi and Jay more than any of the other couples," another commented.

A fourth said: "Living for the bromance between Remi and Jay."

"Jay and Remi are defo gonna make trouble in this villa," another piped up.

"I like Remi and Jay's friendship." One simply added.

He hasn't been in the villa for too long but is already gaining popularity from the fans.

One said: "Jay might just be the spice we need in this villa."

Another added: "Not even 24 hours into the villa and Jay can see STRAIGHT through these couples this man is cold and calculating."

Love Island is on at 9pm on ITV2 and on ITV Hub.
