Love Island sprints to romance milestone tonight amid claims series is 'rushed'

The brand-new Hideaway Retreat and Treehouse locations will make be unveiled on tonight's episode of Love Island as one lucky couple will finally be able to spend some quality time alone with one another in the famous villa perks.

Although the Hideaway has always been a pivotal part of the ITV2 series, this year, production bosses have upped the ante as the rose-petal-covered room is now a standalone building which boasts its own private plunge pool.

Meanwhile, the Treehouse - which is a never-before-seen area on Love Island - has been created as a shady sanctuary within the villa where the contestants can take some time out and have some private chats.

While the current islanders will be delighted with the news of the two new additions to the South African villa, former Love Island stars have insisted that the latest series is 'too rushed'.

Taking to Twitter to share his thoughts on the Hideaway being debuted so soon into the 2023 series, last year's finalist Dami Hope penned: "Bro everything feels so rushed can’t lie, like everything is so early."

To which someone else replied: "I think it’s the pressure of your season tbh y’all did so well so now everyone just tryna play a game to get far."

"It’s p***ing me off man, I cba to wait for casa for chaos," another complained.

"Everything is soooo early and it's taking away from the magic of Love Island. I just can't get on board with this series. It's not any good," insisted another disappointed Love Island fan.

While someone else tweeted: "This series is boring AF so no wonder they have to rush everything. They need some series excitement."

Now the question is, which couple will be granted the first stay in the Hideaway?

As of Thursday night's episode, the Love Island 2023 couples are Ron and Ellie, Spencer and Olivia, Shaq and Tanya, Tom and Zara, Kai and Tanyel, Will and Jessie, and Aaron and Lana.

If Twitter is anything to go by, fans will be hoping that it's farmer Will and his Australian beauty Jessie who get to 'christen' the famous villa element for the first time.

"It's too soon but I hope Will and Jessie get it," one fan gushed, while a second echoed: "Will and Jessie for the win. Will deserves the world and therefore deserves the Hideaway first."
