Love Island's Laura Anderson is facing upset and asked for help after discovering that her beloved Pomeranian puppy Buddy is going bald.
Scots born Laura, who recently moved house from Glasgow's West End to Stirling where she has moved in with her dad for the time being, admitted she was 'totally stressing out' over her puppy Buddy's condition.
Laura dotes on Buddy and has always said he is the 'happiest bundle of joy.'
But she is becoming increasingly worried about his hair loss.
She told fans: "Basically Buddy's going bald which is totally stressing me out."
She asked fans for advice saying: "So If anyone's got a Pom and their Pom has gone bald as well and they have got any ideas, I do have a Pomeranian shampoo that I got from France that is supposed to be amazing but yeah he's gone bald so, maybe this is why. Yeah help me."
She later added: "I know everyone thinks I wash him a lot. I don't. Probably once every six weeks. Just trying to use his shampoo in hope that it helps."
Baldness in Pomerians can be caused by several issues.
Pomerians can suffer from Alopecia X as it is commonly called (even though it is not alopecia as such) or Black Skin Disease.
It does not tend to cause Pomeranians discomfort other than feeling cold due to fur loss and from small sores that can develop on elbows and other contact points and a vet can discuss ways to help the condition.
Pomeranians like other dogs will also cast during summer months and they can also shed if they are stressed, bored, or anxious, but again an expert eye is needed to ascertain the cause.
