Love Island's Luca Bish looks unrecognisable in unearthed snap with flowing long hair

Luca Bish may be the apple of many Love Island fans' eyes with his cheeky-chappy looks and gleaming smile.

But before the 23-year-old fishmonger from Brighton stormed the villa, he had a very different and edgy look going on.

The much-talked about Love Island contestant has enjoyed a smooth-sailing journey in the villa with his partner, Gemma Owen, 19, but eagle-eyed fans of the show have joked that Michael Owen's daughter might think twice about starting a relationship with Luca on 'the outside' after laying eyes on his former hairstyle.

Earlier this week, unearthed snaps of Luca began to circulate on social media - and his former appearance has left Love Island fans completely baffled as they discovered he used to rock flowing long locks.

Luca, who could easily be mistaken as an Essex boy, used to sport a very different look a number of years ago and Twitter users flocked to debate his old look after laying eyes on the unearthed photo.

"I genuinely thought this was edited. Oh my days, Gemma won't be digging this look," one mocked.

"He looks like he belongs in an Oliver Twist movie," someone else echoed.

"Is it just me or does Luca look even hotter with long hair? Bring it back," another Love Island fan insisted.

A fourth chimed: "Not gonna lie, I like the long hair. Gives him a bit of an edge."

While someone else joked: "Gemma is gonna dump his a** if he ever grows back that barnet."

The unearthed snap comes amid ongoing drama and accusations surrounding Luca's behaviour in the villa.

Following the backlash, the reality TV's relatives have been left horrified by the vile abuse Luca has received amid accusations of 'bullying' and 'toxic' behaviour.

The fishmonger’s sister Claudia revealed that she had been 'sick from crying so much at the death threats' being directed at her brother amid the drama.

“How can people be so inhumane?” asked Claudia, adding that the troll’s bombardment of Luca, was 'the hardest night of my entire life'.

Luca's relatives were forced to release a joint statement calling for viewers to 'be kind' after the brutal backlash.

They said: “Love Island is an inter-active TV show where opinions, discussion and debate are welcome in equal measure to displays of support, love and kindness.

“Although we have never met, we stand together today united against the hate messages and insults that some viewers seem to think is acceptable to throw at our friends, sons, daughters and family members.

“Your hate has no place on our [social media] pages or in society in general.”

Love Island continues tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
