Jordan Hames and Anna Vakili became an official couple on tonight's Love Island - but viewers were confused by the Islanders' bizarre reaction.
The 24-year-old model came up with a romantic plan to ask Anna, 28, to be his girlfriend by taking her on a trip down memory lane to places that held a special significance.
Jordan then made a move on Anna sand said: “I’ve never trusted anyone as much as I’ve trusted you. I am amazed by you. And I feel like I’m falling for you. I swear.
He then asked: “On this part of the little excursion I wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend.”
"Yes, of course," replied Anna as she snogged her new boyfriend.
Their fellow Islanders started screaming and shouting as they reacted to the good news.
Curtis Pritchard stripped off to his boxers and jumped into the pool to celebrate.
All of the other lads did the same and the girls jumped in fully clothed, closely followed by the newly formed couple.
Love Island fans flocked to Twitter to mock the Islanders for overreacting.
One viewer said: "So because of small small question people are jumping into the pool with clothes? Okay..."
"These man are too excited, moving like they just got married," added another.
A third agreed: "Why did they jump in the pool to celebrate? Is this high school musical ?
"Why the f*** is everyone in the pool now, wtf, they’re only official. Making out as if they just won the war or something," said a fourth.
There was some initial awkwardness when the boys gathered round the fire pit to come up with a plan for Jordan.
Pointing out the girls were watching, Chris said: "Oi there's one more problem. What are we talking about right now? Cause everyone is looking at us. We need a bulls*** story."
They cleverly pretended to be talking about Michael’s ongoing situation with Amber and bundled on top of him to throw the girls off the scent.
Baffled Amber asked: "Wait, they’re having a group hug with Michael. What the f*** is going on?"
But this only led to them speculating that Michael might be trying to kiss Amber.
When Maura suggested he wanted to lock lips, grinning Amber said: "Ah no, oh my god."
