Love Island's Jake Cornish's potato ritual he uses to fall asleep has fans in bits

We all have our own little techniques that help us get to sleep.

Some people soak in a hot bath, avoid using their phones and read a book, while others play gentle music, but Jake Cornish from Love Island does something slightly more bizarre.

After an action-packed first day getting to know each other with a game of dares which saw the islanders sucking each other's ears and toes, they climbed into bed with their other halves.

Shortly after the contestants woke the following morning, the topic turned to whether anyone got close to their partners under the duvet.

Although Kaz was hopeful she and Toby might have a cheeky spoon, they revealed that nothing happened when Faye quizzed them.

Liberty then revealed what went on in her bed with Jake.

Aside from a 'toe touch, she said that he was busy counting potatoes to help him drift off to sleep.

Speaking of her first night in the villa, Liberty revealed: "I was trying to get to sleep and literally all I heard was 'one potato, two potatoes...'" which left Jake and Shannon in bits.

Fans of the show took to Twitter to comment on the interesting technique, as one person said: "Jake counts potatoes to sleep #cutie #loveisland2021 #LoveIsland."

Another wrote: "1 potato 2 potato HAHAHAHAH."

A third commented: "Haaa 1 potato, 2 potatoes.... the best kind of sex chat."

"All I heard was 1 potato 2 potato," said another fan.

Well, whatever it takes to get you to sleep, Jake... We're not judging.
