Love Island's Ekin-Su to make mind-blowing cash while co-star scrapes £150 per post

Everyone knows that Love Island equals big money, and usually a Boohoo contract to boot.

From sponsored posts to paid appearances and brand endorsements, life outside of the villa can be seriously lucrative for Islanders who play their cards right.

It took 2019 winner Amber Gill just five months to become a millionaire thanks to a hefty deal with MissPap clothing.

"I always told my family I'd be a millionaire and now I am. People always say 'wow' when I walk into a room," she told The Sun.

But who will make the most this time around and how does it compare to what they were earning before?

Luca Bish

Luca, 23, was working as a fishmonger before the show, making a reported £12 per hour - the lowest out of this year's recruits.

As of last week, he'd amassed 755,000 new followers, and marketing agency Honcho predicts he could now earn up to £6,570 for just one post - an amount it would have previously taken him 547.5 hours to earn.

Paige Thorne

Paige is two years into her career as a paramedic - a job that's estimated to earn her £19.16 per hour.

As of last week, she had 845,000 followers, meaning she could charge on average £7,130 per post. She'd have to work 372 hours as a paramedic to earn that.

Davide Sanclimenti

Back in the real world, the Italian Stallion runs his own electric shisha business, and is thought to have been earning an average of £13.94 per hour before the villa.

Now, with his 557,000 followers, he can expect to earn approximately £5,040.50 per Instagram post; a figure that may have taken him 361.5 hours to acquire before his Love Island exposure.

Indiyah Polock

Indiyah was a waitress and model before entering the villa, with an average hourly salary of £11.50 per hour.

Now, she is expected to earn £3,643.50 per Instagram post after her followers grew to 420,000.

Before taking part in the show, this could have taken her 316.8 hours to earn.

Danica Taylor

Dancer Danica, 21, is expected to earn an average of £14.36 per hour in her profession.

However, with her followers amounting to 228,000 since entering the villa, her earning potential per post has risen to £2,018.50.

This equates to 140 hours of work in her original field.

Tasha Ghouri

Model and dancer Tasha is predicted to have earned the equivalent of £25.64 per hour for her work in her respective creative fields.

However, what may have previously taken her 138 hours to earn can now be made by a single Instagram-sponsored post; £3,552.50.

Her follower count stood at 410,000 last week.

Dami Hope

Dami could make a pretty penny from Love Island (itv)

The Senior Microbiologist last week had 238,000 followers on Instagram, bringing his potential earnings per post to £2,073.50.

With his previous hourly salary in mind, the Islander would have had to work for 135 hours to earn the same amount.

Andrew Le Page

A Real Estate Agent currently living in Dubai, Andrew thought to earn an average of £20.51 per hour - not taking into account any commission from sales.

With 236,000 Instagram followers, this Islander could expect to earn an average of £2,114 per sponsored post. Previously, he may have had to work up to 103 hours to earn the same figure.

Gemma Owen

International Dressage Rider Gemma could expect to earn an average hourly rate of £136 before the villa.

Now, the 19-year-old is able to request up to £8,796.50 per post on Instagram thanks to her followers reaching 1,000,000 - the equivalent of 64 hours of work.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu

As an actress, Ekin-Su is reported to earn an estimated £16,000 per episode.

Based on an episode taking between five and eight days of filming, her average hourly salary would sit at £266 after working a 7.5-hour day.

However, as the first Islander of 2022 to reach 1,100,000 followers, her social earnings per post currently stand at £9,518, meaning she would need to work for 35.78 hours to make the same amount as a post.

Jamie Allen

As a Footballer and latecomer to the villa, Jamie Allen had a follower count of just 15,000 and an earning potential of £151 per sponsored post.

This would take him just 6.2 hours to earn in his current profession with an average hourly salary of £24.36.
