Love Island's Dr Alex George heartbroken as 'beautiful' little brother dies

Dr Alex George has announced the heartbreaking news that his little brother has died suddenly.

The Love Island star penned an emotional message on Instragram alongside a picture of them together.

Alex said Llŷr, who was due to follow in his brother's footsteps and begin medical school next month, died following a battle with mental health.

He wrote on his social media page: "I can’t believe I am actually writing this post. I have lost my beautiful little brother to mental health. I love you so much Llŷr.

"The kindest and most caring soul. I was so proud of you starting medical school next month, you would have been the most incredible doctor.

"We are hurting so bad. No words can explain. As a family we are devastated. We love you and miss you so much. Please rest in peace x Our boy"

Friends and fans have flooded Alex's post with their condolences.

This Morning doctor Zoe Williams wrote: "So very sorry for you and your family. Sending love and strength."

Fellow Love Island star Wes Nelson commented: "So sorry to hear this Alex! Stay strong I love you mate!"

"My heart breaks for you and your family - I’m so sorry this has happened sending so much love your way," added a fan.

Another also said: "Oh my goodness that is such a tragedy, I'm so sorry to have read this post. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family."
