Love Island's Curtis Pritchard branded 'brutal' by Strictly star brother AJ over Amy split

Curtis Pritchard's brother AJ has branded the Love Island star "brutal" for the way he dumped Amy Hart.

The dancer, 23, broke Amy's heart when he told her their romance was over, and later stuck the knife in by telling her her could never imagine marrying her or having kids with her.

Amy was left in floods of tears and was so upset she later quit the show.

Now Strictly star AJ Pritchard has opened up about Curtis' behaviour and insisted he didn't need to be quite so harsh.

During an appearance on The Jeremy Vine Show, AJ insisted Curtis was just being honest but he took it a bit too far.

He said: "Maybe he was a bit too brutally honest on TV to let her down [that way].

"He prefers to just say his emotions out loud - it's both an asset and his downfall."

AJ went on to declare he's happy to see his brother looking "fit and healthy" after a knee injury in a nightclub attack left him unable to dance.

The Strictly pro added that Curtis looks like he's piled on a few pounds in the villa, but is obviously having a great time.

He said: "He's fit and healthy, his knee [is better]... he looks very healthy.

"He's put a bit of weight on, but he's having a good time. But he's on holiday."
