Love Island's Amy Hart gives birth to first child and shares adorable pictures

Love Island's Amy Hart has welcomed her first child with boyfriend Sam Rason.

Amy, 30, announced the happy news on social media, which comes just a year after she underwent fertility treatment to freeze her eggs.

Taking to social media, she shared: "Well…. 4 days of contractions at home (which everyone told us were Braxton hicks…they weren’t ), 4 very short hours in the delivery suite and 5 long days in hospital later, we are home with our dreamy baby boy born at 3.31am on 3/3/23 weighing 8lbs with the most beautiful head of hair (Amy would take the 9 months of reflux again) and we are so so in love.

"Proper introductions to come but now we’re home safe and sound. Thank you to everyone who sent their well wishes. We really appreciated it over the last few days [here’s a few delivery room snaps, can’t wait to show you his beautiful, non-post-birth swollen face."

The starlet went on to explain that she kept her birth a secret until she and her little tot were home and safe.

Fans and friends of the star have flooded the comments to congratulate the first-time mum.

Fellow Islander and soon-to-be mum Shaughna Phillips penned: "So beautiful! Congratulations to you all, glad you’re all home."]

While Vicky Pattison added: "Congratulations you two," alongside a series of heart-eye emojis.

TikTok star GK Barry exclaimed: "Omg congratulations!!!"

"Amy!!!!! congrats, ahhh," typed Capital FM's Will Manning.

Before Love Island's Olivia Attwood penned: "Ahhh congratulations. So beautiful."

Amy revealed she was expecting her first baby earlier in the year when she appeared on Loose Women.

She said the pregnancy was "100 per cent unplanned" after spending £12,000 on fertility treatment.

The former ITV2 villa star made the decision to freeze her eggs before conceiving naturally with her partner.

Speaking with her 1.1million followers on Instagram, the 30-year-old detailed her plans for a big family.

Admitting the surprise, she said: "This was a 100 per cent unplanned pregnancy, turns out everyone telling me tracking my cycle isn't actually a 100 per cent form of contraception was indeed correct."

Amy has always been open with her fans about freezing her eggs so that she would be able to have children in the future.

Fans then asked the reality star what she will do with the eggs that she froze.

Amy replied: "Use them for 2nd/3rd/4th if we need to, if we don't, donate them! It was never an issue with falling pregnant, it was more the longevity of my fertility.

"For example my Prof said I had 2-3 years of good fertility left so I froze the higher quality, younger eggs."

Amy's followers then asked if she was worried about not having been with Sam very long when she fell pregnant.

They had been together about a year and a half.

She said: "Not at all! We were talking about this the other night actually. I feel like we've crammed 4/5 years of a relationship into the 18 months we've been together.

"Lots of travel, lots of fun experiences, learning to live with each other's habits. When IS the right time anyway? I feel like sometimes people are like 'if we haven't broken up in X years we'll move to the next level', don't live in fear people. Also we both knew quite early on this was a long-term thang."

Amy first rose to fame when she took part in Love Island back in 2019.

She ended up leaving the villa on her own accord as she split with partner Curtis Pritchard.
