Love Island: Meet the bawdy Dublin bombshell set to appear on new series of hit Virgin Media show

A straight talking Dublin bombshell is set to get pulses racing when she appears on the new series of Love Island later this month.

Clarehall woman Lucy Plunkett is a rising social media star who is set to cause a stir with her bawdy behaviour on the island of Majorica this summer.

The 20-year-old north Dubliner is a small business owner, stylist and Instagram influencer who already has more than 12,000 followers.

She hinted that she was going into the villa while showing off her new bikinis on her Insta story earlier today before adding a selfie with the caption: “Ordering my last takeaway tonight, I’m emotional.”

A close pal of Lucy's predicted she will cause a stir in the villa as she’s not afraid to speak her mind.

She said: “Lucy is looking for a man who is loyal and isn’t too controlling. She’s very much a free spirit who beats to her own drum.

“I expect her to be herself. She sometimes may come across as mean or a b***h due to her honest nature but she is a girl's girl and is a sweetheart once you get to know her.

“But if someone crosses her she won’t have a problem speaking her mind. She can be problematic.”

The 20-year-old is looking for love on the hit Virgin Media show but "may find it hard to find someone" because she is "very picky".

Her pal added: “She was in a long term relationship and thinks she is ready to find someone again after having her heart broken.

“She took the opportunity when it came to her as you can tell by her Instagram she’s a big believer that everything happens for a reason.”

The no nonsense northsider was chosen for the show after producers contacted her through Instagram and asked her to audition.

She will jet out to the villa in Pollensa, Majorca next week ahead of the show's return on Monday, June 28.

“She’s very excited and can’t wait to represent Dublin," her pal told us.

Dublin Live has contacted showmakers ITV for comment.
