Love Island first look sees contestant dumped as Mitchel Taylor shares game plan

Love Island has shared a first look at the episode due to air on Wednesday, June 14 after Tuesday's instalment ended on a major cliffhanger. In case you missed it, Ella Thomas and Ruchee Gurung are at risk of being dumped by their fellow Islanders following a recoupling with a twist.

During last night's show, the boys got to choose which girls they wanted to recouple with, but not before new bombshells Leah Taylor and Charlotte Sumner were given the opportunity to pick first. Leah chose Tyrique Hyde, who is currently coupled up with Ella Thomas, a move that earned a gasp from Whitney Adebayo, while Charlotte coupled up with Zachariah Noble, despite his recent kiss with Molly Marsh.

Mitchel Taylor then chose to recouple with Molly, despite the pair recently putting a pin in their romance. You can see the full list of who is coupled up with who here.

And in scenes set to air tonight, Mitch reveals he has a plan up his sleeve. Speaking of his decision to couple up with Molly, saving her from a potential dumping, he says to Mehdi: "I did that for my boy Zach, I didn't do that for anyone else but Zach."

Gathered with the boys in the kitchen, he says of his decision: "Friendship, I've got you boys." Sammy Root laughs, saying: "The thing is Mitch is saying this, but really you've got a secret plan just to get to know Molly now."

Mitch replies: "If it doesn’t work out then I definitely did, but if Mol starts liking me again, then a game's a game…" Elsewhere, the villa makes their decision after Ella and Ruchee were left vulnerable.

As Ruchee and Ella head to the sundeck, their fellow Islanders deliberate. Catherine says: "This is very difficult, it's obviously not nice seeing two of your friends standing up there."

Mitchel adds: "I get on with both of them, they’re both my mates and I adore Ruchee, she's just had a bit of bad luck…" Jess says: "They both have amazing personalities and it's just unfortunate that it's come to this."

But as Mehdi stands to reveal their decision, who will they save and who will be sent packing? Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
