Love Island fans say Tanyel picking Ron makes sense after steamy unaired clip

Love Island 2023 viewers believe Tanyel Revan 's decision to pick Ron Hall in the latest recoupling suddenly "made sense", after a clip from earlier in the week aired on Unseen Bits on Saturday night.

A clip that didn't make the main show edit a few days into the winter series saw the pair getting flirty during a game of dares.

Ron called her the "fittest Islander" and sucked Tanyel 's finger as a dare - despite things starting to blossom with Lana Jenkins at this point.

Of course this was before Ron and Lana shared their first kiss and decided to focus on each other.

But the drama came when Tanyel stole Ron from Lana in the first recoupling of the series, leaving Lana furious and crying.

Tanyel turned to Lana and said sorry, while she and Ron had spoken a few days earlier and expressed an interest in each other.

Now, some viewers are saying that they can "see why" Tanyel picked Ron, after a clip that aired during Unseen Bits that wasn't shown in the main show.

While it seemed the move came out of nowhere, despite some flirting a few days ago, a clip from the start of the week appeared to shed some light on her decision.

Ron was asked to pick who he thought was the fittest Islander, and he chose Tanyel.

He was told to suck this Islander's finger, which he did, and his fellow Islanders soon commented on how much he went for it - as did viewers.

But some fans questioned if it was this that led to Tanyel believing she had a chance with Ron and that he might like her back.

Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "Ok so now I see why Tanyel chose Ron," as a second wrote: "I now see why tanyel chose Ron."

It comes following the first dumping of the series so far on Friday night, as a result of the first recoupling.

David Salako was sent home after he was not picked by any of the girls in the villa, amid explosive scenes.

The 24-year-old money adviser who hails from Essex became the first Islander to be booted off the show, despite only being in for a couple of days.

He was visibly gutted by the twist and seemed shocked, given he thought he had something good going on with Tanya Manhenga.

Tanya had told him she was open to getting to know him, while she was still keen on Shaq Muhammad - who she’d been paired up with since day one.

When it came to Tanya picking who to pair up with, she went with Shaq leaving David visibly surprised and upset.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
