Love Island fans predict Olivia and Jessie's issues will continue outside the villa

Fans of Love Island witnessed a long-brewing showdown during last night’s episode, as contestant Jessie Wynter confronted Olivia Hawkins about comments she had made behind her back.

Tension was bubbling between the two for a while before Jessie stormed over to Olivia, who was in the garden with Tanya and Rosie.

Backed up by Lana and Samie, Jessie asked Olivia about the comments she had made about her behind her back.

The issue started when Jessie went to speak to Casey about his treatment of Claudia during Tuesday night's episode.

Casey was left unimpressed by his chat with Jessie, which in turn caused tension between Jessie and her partner, Will.

This led to some of the contestants questioning if Jessie was playing a game and what her intentions were in the villa. Olivia spoke to Lana and Rosie about her thoughts and chatted to Maxwell about them too.

However, Claudia and Samie told Jessie what was being said about her.

Heading over to Olivia, Jessie called her out for going 'behind her back' and calling her 'fake'.

Olivia replied: “I never said fake, please don’t say I’ve said fake because I didn’t. I just don’t think this is a conversation we need to have between all of us.”

Fans of the show took to social media to air their thoughts on the confrontation, with one Twitter user typing: "jessie is about to start a war with olivia #loveisland ".

Another commented on Olivia’s apparent hypocrisy, writing: “Liv f*****g caused world war 3 over being called fake so let’s not tell jessie that it’s minor #LoveIsland.”

Olivia ended up being dumped from the show, and some fans predicted that the reality star could end up cutting ties with her castmates, and that the issues between her and Jessie weren't fully resolved.

One fan commented: "Now Olivia is gone I don't see her hanging out with Jessie on the outside lol", while another said: "Olivia defo won't be friends with any of the girls after the show!"

Olivia’s behaviour seemed to contradict the fans’ predictions, as she sat down with Jessie the day after their altercation to discuss what had happened. The pair decided to make up and hugged one another.

However, viewers were less than impressed, with one fan writing: “If i were jessie I would have been civil with her but would have said ‘well you were talking behind my back and it’s clear you feel that way about me. but it’s fine because your opinion doesn’t matter to me’ and would have ended it there. no hug."
