Love Island fans love 'authentic' look of new contestants as show line-up revealed

Many Love Island fans are already convinced this will be a series to remember with some viewers hailing the most authentic line-up yet.

The cult ITV show is returning to our screens next week, beginning on Monday June 6 - and we clearly aren't the only ones who can't wait.

Fans have been spilling their thoughts out on social media as we got our first look at those who will entertain us this summer.

As for what we can expect from this year, bosses are keeping tight lipped on the format - but there will be plenty of drama head as Love Island airs on ITV2 in its usual 9pm slot each day.

With just one week to go until it is officially back on our screens, many of us are counting down every minute.

Twitter has been awash with viewer observations as the build up to the big return continues.

One posted: "How is that I’m so excited for Love Island 6 June needs to come sooner!!!"

Another wrote: "I think they look authentic."

A third tweeted: "I’m actually excited about the new Love Island. Last I watched was 2019 and this season seems promising."

One fan is converted again, writing: "Decide I was not gonna watch Love Island this year but why is it getting me excited??" while another said: "Predict this will be the best one we've seen yet #LoveIsland."

But one said: "Would be more exciting if Love Island didn’t share the contestants beforehand."

We've got the details on all the new Islanders who will be heading the Majorcan villa - which is in a new location this year - in a bid to find their one true love this summer.

Iain Stirling and Laura Whitmore are back for more (GETTY)

With Laura Whitmore set to host whilst her husband Iain Stirling provides the much-loved voiceover commentary, the countdown is on.

But not everyone was sold on the Islanders flying out.

One put: "These love Island contestants are the worst yet."

Another asked: "Once again another season of no plus size contestants on Love Island?"

As usual, the show comes with added extras.

A recap episode will air every Saturday and after Sunday's episode, Laura will present spin-off show Aftersun, as a celebrity panel join her to comment on the latest drama from the villa, and the axed Islanders will be there to give their side of the story!
