Love Island fans have been left puzzled over a 'missing' Islander.
The ITV2 show is back for a new series, its first Winter edition in three years, and already there's some huge drama as the bombshells get to work disrupting the villa's initial couples. Maya Jama has taken over from Laura Whitmore as host of the ITV2 show and fans have been heaping praise on Maya's hosting skills as the new series got underway.
However, viewers tuning into the programme have been left distracted by the fact that one very popular Islander is nowhere to be seen, despite being in the show since day one - as they call for her return.
As the ITV2 show returned tonight, puzzled fans were left unsure where Anna-May had got to. The 20-year-old payroll administrator from Swansea has barely appeared in the show, although she was in one scene where she chatted with Kai about their romance.
"Not being funny but where is anna may? did she leave? #LoveIsland," one viewer wrote on social media, as a second fan of the show added online: "is it just me or did anna may disappear #LoveIsland."
A third shared: "Anna-May who tf is that? When did she come in? Sorry what? #LoveIsland."
In her pre-show interview, Anna-May said she was ready for a boyfriend, and wants someone who makes her laugh.
"I want a boyfriend, I want to find someone who makes me laugh," she said ahead of her villa stint, "I’ve been single for quite a while, my mother is bugging me, she's like, 'You need to find a boyfriend.'
"I’m just excited to try something new and I think going on Love Island is a good way to meet someone. I will bring fun, I’m always up for a laugh, if someone tells me to go and dive in the pool I will probably do it. I’ll bring energy to the Villa, I'll get everyone up playing games! I‘m also not afraid to get in someone's way; if I like someone, I’ll let them know."
Anna-May is coupled up with someone else, but Tanyel - who is with Kai - was concerned to see Kai getting to know Anna-May, and Tanyel shared: "You didn’t do anything wrong, but I actually got really jealous and I don’t like it."
