Love Island fans are celebrating as all six series of the show have been added to ITV’s catch-up service.

On Monday (1 January), it was announced that every series of Love Island, from the show’s first outing in 2015 to the first winter series from 2020, are all being made available to stream on the ITV Hub.

“Every episode. Every series. Every bit of drama,” the official Love Island page tweeted. “Watch now on @ITVHub.”

While the early Love Island outings used to be available to watch on the ITV viewing platform, they were removed following the launch of streaming service Britbox, which requires a paid subscription.

The news of the show’s return was widely celebrated by fans, many of whom said that they’d now be rewatching the series in lockdown.

“It’s like... all my prayers have just been answered,” one viewer commented.

“Would 2021 be a good time to re-watch this all from the start? Asking for a friend…” another wrote.

Like many TV shows, Love Island has been affected by the pandemic, with the summer 2020 and winter 2021 series both being cancelled.

In June, ITV said that the show planned to return with an “extended run” in summer 2021, but it is unknown whether this will go ahead with lockdown measures still in place across the world.

However, the US spin-off of Love Island did manage to film a season during the pandemic, with the “villa” situated on the roof of The Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas with strict quarantine regulations in place.
