Love Island boys branded 'utter planks' for screaming and running away from villa cat

The Love Island boys have been branded "utter planks" for screaming and running away from a cat.

During the show's Unseen bits episode last night, the male contestants were shown reacting in horror when a pet cat strayed into Casa Amour.

The furry friend sauntered out of the bushes and onto the deck, prompting burly footballer Finn Tapp to run away screaming "Oh my gosh!"

The cat sat on the deck with a judgemental look on its face as Fin warned the others: "Don't touch it. I heard these down here are bad."

Luke Mabbott also admitted he's terrified of cats, adding: "Cats are vicious. They are unpredictable. Look at its eyes mate."

When Luke T tried to reassure him he has nothing to fear from a pet cat, Luke M added: "It's cute until it rips your face off."

Viewers couldn't believe their eyes and they mocked the boys for being petrified of the feline intruder.

One tweeted: "Dear God the boys are utterly pathetic. Personally I would be worried for the cat interacting with utter planks like that."

Another wrote: "Can't believe all but one were scared of a small cat ."

A third added: "Oh grow up. Cats are not vicious."

One more commented: "Are these supposed grown men genuinely terrified of that tiny adorable cat? FFS."

Others started mocking the boys' fear of cats by posting memes of South African lions to Twitter.

The moment was even mocked by Love Island bosses, who posted a video of the incident online with the caption: "We're starting to think the boys may have never seen a cat before."

They added a laughing cat emoji.
