Love Island 2022: How to apply for next series

ITV

This year’s series of Love Island came to an end tonight with Millie and Liam winning the final.

The couple split the £50,000 prize money moments after declaring themselves “boyfriend and girlfriend” live on air.

Now, applications for the 2022 series of the show are being accepted by ITV.

For the 2021 season, according to The Mirror, bosses reportedly started to cast new singletons in January ahead of the summer series, meaning applicants are likely to be contacted in the coming months before being invited to an audition. Applicants can apply to be a part of the show via the website here.

Applicants need to be over 18 and will have to read the Love Island Privacy Notice and agree to all the terms and conditions before they can apply. Applicants also have to register their full name and email address, and create a password in order to proceed with the application.

Every applicant is required to make a short video of themselves to accompany their application. Once this is submitted, an audition process follows with numerous interviews.

Another way applicants have been able to apply this year is via dating app, Tinder.

Users can swipe right on the Tinder Swipe Card with their official Tinder profile then submitted for the application team for consideration. If selected, Tinder users would then be added to a ‘Priority List’ which guaranteed them to be seen by the casting team.

As yet, it’s unclear if this method will be used again for the 2022 edition of the show.
