Louise Redknapp reveals sons banned her from making raunchy music videos

Louise Redknapp has her sons' full backing for her new music - just not the videos.

Louise, 44, who was previously one quarter of girl group Eternal, laughed that her sons weren't happy with the video that accompanied her single Stretch.

She is set to release anew album Heavy Love next month.

While Charley, 15, and Beau, 10, were delighted to see their mum back in the recording studio, they didn't react quite so well to the saucy video.

It showed Louise in a backless leotard with a topless dancer.

She revealed: "They made me promise I wouldn't make any more videos like that.

"That was the only part they weren't happy about."

Louise, who shares Charley and Beau with ex-husband and football pundit Jamie Redknapp , added: "My 15 year-old had his 15 and 16 year-old mates round and I could hear Stretch on.

"They didn't even know I was in the house. I cam downstairs and I was like 'caught you.'"

Her new music isn't letting her forget the good old days, though, as Louise revealed she still listens to her Eternal tracks with the boys.

She said: "We've watched some of the old videos together and they were laughing.

"They said to me, 'Mum, you were so young.'

"Now they're at an age they can really understand it."

Louise and Jamie's marriage ended in 2017 after 19 years together.

The blond beauty is also the star of Dolly Parton's musical 9 to 5, which follows three women pushed to their limits by a sexist boss. Louise plays Violet Newstead - with Love Island's Amber Davies as Judy Bernly and Georgina Castle as Doralee Rhodes.

She's so happy with her new album that she even plays it in the dressing room while she preps for the stage.

Louise spoke openly about what the show means to her: "It's ahead of it's time and a story of woman power.

"It's such a clever show and not only funny, it's got a really strong message."
