Louis Tomlinson slams BBC Breakfast for grilling him on family deaths and vows to never go on again

Louis Tomlinson has vowed never to go on BBC Breakfast again after being left angry by the way he was interviewed on the show on Monday.

Louis released his debut solo album Walls on Friday and was expecting to be given plenty of opportunities to discuss that when questioned by breakfast hosts. However, the former One Direction star was left angry and frustrated after being asked about the band a lot, as well as the deaths of his mum Johannah and his sister Félicité.

Taking to Twitter he posted "Defo wont be going on there again Haha! Love to all my fans for always having my back," before adding Anyway f*** the negativity now. It's been a siiiiick week."

Followers who watched the interview were quick to respond to Louis' tweets and agree with him. One replied "Much respect that you kept your cool during the interview! Not everyone would've been able to do that. But it's a good thing you won't be going back there, they aren't worth your time," and another commented "We were all so mad about that interview louis. I swear we don't keep asking about one direction, we want to know more about the album and you. They just want headlines and want to stir up drama. I'm so sorry you had to sit through that."

However, others disagreed with Louis and said they thought the interview was fair. One of his Twitter followers reacted "Dan and Louise were nothing but polite to you! They asked questions fans wanted to know! Asking how you are after the tragedies, the argument with Zain, 1D, touring etc is perfectly normal. Don't be a diva!"

The BBC has defended the interview, with a spokesperson telling The Mirror “We wanted to cover all aspects of Louis’ life that have influenced his new album and feel the questioning was fair.”
