Louis Tomlinson has told fans he is leaving social media platform X.
The former One Direction singer, 33, posted earlier today it was “too much and too hurtful” for him to be on the site, formerly known as Twitter, due to “conspiracy chat” around his relationship with Zara McDermott.
“The last few months have made it impossible to be on here,” his post began.
He also says the conspiracy theories have included his late mother, Johannah Deakin who died of leukaemia in 2016 at the age of 43.

“All the conspiracy chat about my relationship, my son or even stretching sometimes to opinions on my Mum. It’s just too much and too hurtful for me to see.”
Louis has a son, Freddie Reign Tomlinson, who was born in January 2016 following a brief realtionship with stylist Briana Jungwirth.
He ended the post with a shoutout to his loyal fans, saying: “Thank you to everyone who always has my back!”
The musician had said earlier this year he was using the platform less, when he posted: “'Haven't really used this (X) much for a while. Seems to be such a weird place these days...
“Anyway feeling really good about the next record. Staying positive.”
Louis and his partner, former Love Islander Zara McDermott, went public with their relationship in March after being linked earlier this year.
In May, Louis made the relationship Instagram official, by commenting on"proud of you x” on an Instagram post Zara had made about working on a documentary in Thailand.
Their relationship has seemed to go from strength to strength, as the couple were on holiday together in LA in April, and the pair were recently photographed together at Glastonbury.
For years, Louis has been the centre of a false conspiracy theory called “Larry”, which believes he was romantically involved with his former bandmate Harry Styles - which Louis has previously said is the “biggest load of bulls*** I’ve ever heard”.
Last year, he said about the false rumours: “What’s tough is, I realised this some years ago, there is nothing I can say. There is nothing I can do to dispel the believers of that conspiracy.”
He added: “It does irritate me a little bit, you know? But it is just kind of the nature of the job, I suppose.”
