Lotto results Ireland: North Dublin shop revealed to have sold whopping €3.9 million prize

A North County Dublin store is celebrating after it was revealed it sold the winning ticket for Saturday night's whopping Lotto jackpot of almost €4 million.

The winner of the prize has not yet been announced although the exact location of the store that sold the €3.9 million ticket will be announced tomorrow. The winning numbers were 5, 16, 17, 18, 22 and 28 while the bonus number was 2.

It's a double celebration for the capital as another lucky Dub picked up a cheque for €100,000 at Lotto HQ. The delighted man scooped the mega prize on a Money Multiplier scratch card that he bought at the Spar shop on the Millenium Walkway on Upper Abbey Street in Dublin 1.

Speaking about his incredible win, he said: "Before this, the most I ever won was €50 so it was a massive shock when I saw all those zeroes looking back at me. It’s not everyday that you hear of a top prize amount being won so I think that threw me as well.

"I never expected it so I’m delighted that I can now say I’m a top prize winner. I don’t know how long I spent looking at it. Looking after my family is the top priority now."
