Los Angeles Woman Uploads ‘Purse Haul’ Video, Then the Guy She is Seeing Tells Her That She Gave Him the ‘ick’: ‘Run girl’

Dating in today’s world can be tough. There are so many things to consider while dating, and one wrong move can lead to a lot of complications. Plus, let’s not forget all the different terms associated with dating these days. I don’t want to be “that” person, but as a millennial, I admit it can be a bit overwhelming and cause anxiety. And let’s not forget that these terms have existed for a long time, and labeling them now just feels like too much for me. Anyway, that’s a topic for another time. For now, let’s see what this Los Angeles woman has to say about the man she’s seeing, in a TikTok that’s taken the platform by storm.

On June 2, 2024, TikTok user @aliannaademaria posted a video discussing how the guy she was seeing got the “ick” after watching one of her purse-haul TikTok videos. She wanted her viewers, especially women, to give her advice on what she should do in this situation.

TikTok user @aliannaademaria uploads a video asking for advice

As previously mentioned on June 2, 2024, TikTok user @aliannaademaria uploaded a video asking for advice from women viewers on how to handle her situation.

Regarding the incident, @aliannaademaria explained that the man she had been seeing for a few months told her he got the ick after watching one of her TikTok videos. Alianna clarifies that it was a purse haul video she had spent a lot of time deliberating before posting. She admits she understands why he might have gotten the ick, as she felt the same way about it. Elaborating on how she learned about how her situationship felt, Alianna said that the guy sent her the video and asked her if she thought that he got the ick from it. Then, when Alianna asked him to be honest, he simply said he “pleaded the fifth,” which she interprets as a sign of him getting the ick. In her video, Alianna asks her followers what she should do, offering options like moving to another country, shaving her head, changing her name, or even drinking until she’s in a coma or ceasing to exist.

TikTok user @aliannaademaria received a lot of support from the online community.

@aliannaademaria sought advice from viewers about what to do after she gave the man she was seeing the ick, and the women responded warmly. Most wanted Alianna to cut ties with him. User @vineless advised, “Run girl, life gets so much more embarrassing than a purse haul lol.” User @kyylizzzleeeee said, “him getting the ick is an ick.” User @labia_jones told her, “block him & ghost without explanation. never let a man belittle you, beautiful queen.” User @aylahkarine added, “Girl your purse video is cute and if that’s your personality, he should want to see it. The goofy side, the cool side, every side of you. Even if he’s “sweet” he could’ve kept the “ick” to himself…”

How long should a situationship last?

Although there is no strict rule about how long a situationship should last, in my opinion, a month is enough to get to know someone and decide if you want to be with that person. Some would argue that three months is ideal for making this decision more effectively, including this article by Bumble, which discusses the three-month rule that many people follow when it comes to dating.

The idea behind the three-month rule is that by the end of it, you’ll have a clear sense of whether the relationship is moving in a positive direction or not. Then, based on how you feel, you can either continue and let things get more serious or call it quits and move on with your life.
