Los Angeles Times Kenneth Turan column

July 15--This is more than a rare chance to wish this most memorable of inside Hollywood stories a big-screen happy 65th birthday. It's also a chance to celebrate in the presence of one of its stars, Nancy Olson Livingston, supporting actress Oscar nominee, who will participate in a Q before the Laemmle Royal's screening of "Sunset Boulevard." The story of William Holden's down-on-his-luck screenwriter stumbling on a great mansion owned by Gloria Swanson's Norma Desmond, the great legend of the silent screen living in delusional splendor years after her prime with factotum Erich von Stroheim, never disappoints no matter how often it is viewed. Nominated for 11 Academy Awards, including all four acting categories, the film will screen at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Laemmle's Royal, 11523 Santa Monica Blvd., West Los Angeles.
