Los Angeles Rams trading Brandin Cooks to the Houston Texans

The wide receiver carousel has a permanent place for Brandin Cooks. The much-traveled and stellar wideout is on the move again, being traded by the Los Angeles Rams to the Houston Texans, according to reports Thursday.

The deal will be WR Brandin Cooks and a 2022 fourth-round pick from the Rams for the 57th pick in this month’s draft.

This will mark the fourth team for Cooks, who played college ball at Oregon State and was drafted by the New Orleans Saints. After three seasons in the Big Easy — two with more than 1,100 yards, he was dispatched to the New England Patriots.

Cooks spent a year with Tom Brady, catching 65 passes for 1,082 yards, before being dealt to the Rams.

Cooks now heads to Houston, which was in the market for a big-play wideout after stunning people by trading DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals.

Cooks battled concussion issues in 2019 and was limited to 42 catches for 583 yards.
