Lorry crashes through wall onto Scots train tracks as emergency services rush to scene

Emergency services have rushed to an incident in a Scots village after a lorry crashed onto the train tracks.

A large emergency presence remains in Wallyford, East Lothian, after the accident around 2pm today.

Photographs from the scene show a lorry lying in the middle of the train tracks between the local station and Prestonpans.

The vehicle appears to have crashed through a wall before sliding down the embankment and onto the train tracks.

At least six fire fighters can be seen standing at the incident assessing the scene.

The medical condition of the lorry driver is not yet known but he has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
