Lorraine Kelly's misbehaving dog has to be dragged out of her studio

Lorraine Kelly's misbehaving dog had to be dragged out of her studio.

Today's show started with the pooch writhing around on the Scottish presenter's lap.

When the opening titles finished the little Border Terrier had jumped down on the floor.

Lorraine joked that he was being a "noisy wee fella" as fashion expert Mark Heyes joined the pair.

As the dog jumped up on him, Mark said: "You're temperamental aren't you. He needs more attention I tell you."

Lorraine then showed a video of her pet destroying a supposedly indestructible toy, which was meant to be Rottweiler proof.

Mark then gave Angus a brand new toy to keep him occupied in the studio.

"He's on it like a car bonnet," exclaimed Lorraine as the pooch devoured the toy.

As they watched Angus rip the stuffing out, Lorraine admitted: "There's something quite therapeutic about it. As long as you make sure they don't eat what's inside."

She hastily added: "Oh no it's getting ripped to shreds."

Mark suggested he should take Angus out of the studio so Lorraine could get on with the show.

He struggled to get the pooch to follow him out and had to drag him by his lead.

Lorraine viewers took to Twitter after watching the hilarious moment.

One viewer said: "4 minutes of a dog ripping up a toy #Lorraine magic tv"

Another added: "Any toy, a terrier will destroy it. That’s what they were bred for, to kill rodents etc. He’s not a human Lorraine"

A third said: "#lorraine we need clarification is Angus really a cat but acting as a dog?"

*Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV at 8.30am
