Lorraine Kelly has apologised to her viewers for her strange behaviour on Monday after many thought her bizarre outbursts were part of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway prank.
Viewers flocked to Twitter so say they thought the 61-year-old had the Geordie duo instructing her via an earpiece.
Many were left scratching their heads yesterday as Lorraine batted a fly away, claimed there was a mouse in the studio and also had cramp in her leg all as she spoke to rapper KSI.
On today's show, Lorraine addressed the rumours. She said: "Welcome back, now there was a great deal of concern for my wellbeing yesterday after that rather giddy interview with KSI.
"Don't worry, all is going to be revealed later in the week, and that is all I am going to say. Poor KSI, I did actually say to him afterwards, 'Sorry about that'.
"But you'll find out!" she teased, hinting that it was indeed part of a prank.
And during an interview with Downton Abbey star Jim Carter, Lorraine admitted she had a "hangover" from the day before.
She said: "It's so lovely to talk to you, I love the daffodil that you've got on for Macmillan, thank you for everything you do."
He corrected her: "Sorry, just once more Marie Curie, sorry Lorraine."
Lorraine replied: "Honestly, what am I like, it's a hangover from yesterday!"
Jim joked: "You've been disco-dancing and you've had triplets on!" referring to the previous guests on the show.
Lorraine laughed: "I know, I have had triplets and I've been disco dancing, not necessarily in that order. Thank you for correcting me, we had a very strange day yesterday and I think I am still in that frame of mind!"
Lorraine's strange interview on Monday saw her thank YouTuber KSI for "putting up with the mice", leaving viewers to wonder if she was being fed instructions through an earpiece from pranksters Ant and Dec for a Saturday Night Takeaway skit.
Lorraine was spotted yawning very obviously while KSI told her about his stint on The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2021, and complained about a fly while batting it away.
She asked him: "Don't mug me off, how was it, was it a happy experience, did you enjoy it?"
"I've got a bit of cramp in my leg," she said next. "I wish that you were here so you could help me, I will just walk it off, it's poppycock!"
Lorraine also told KSI his bedroom looked "magnifico".
"Thank you for putting up with me, thank you for putting up with flies, with mice, it's been absolutely, absolutely, absolutely, absolutely crazy!" she told him at the end of their chat.
One savvy viewer worked out that Lorraine may have been shoehorning in KSI's song names from his upcoming album into the interview, tweeting: "Why do I have a feeling that @reallorraine managed to fit in the song titles from @KSI upcoming album in that interview #Lorraine.
"Cramp Magnifico Pure Raging Totes Emosh Tom & Jerry Madness Bumbag Fiddlesticks Vibe Nearly/Getting There Think I missed a few before I realised!".
