Loose Women's Kaye Adams 'cuts short' show as ITV make major change to schedule

Loose Women host Kaye Adams brought the show to an abrupt end on Tuesday as it was cut short due to an ITV schedule change.

For over two decades the lunchtime panel show has been a staple of the channel's daytime line-up, airing for an hour in the 12.30-1.30 slot before the news. However,. on Tuesday's Loose Women fans only got a 'bite size' portion of the programme as Kaye wrapped things up before the clock had even struck 1pm.

And it's all down to the fact that ITV, as they have done in the past for the Cheltenham Festival, cut Loose Women down to prioritise horse racing coverage as Ascot kicked off. The lunchtime news was brought forward to 1pm, with live action from Ascot starting at 1.30pm.

The opening day of the glamorous annual event included highlights like the 2.30 Queen Anne Stakes, 3.05 Coventry Stakes and 4.20 St James's Palace Stake as a hosting team including Rishi Persad, Oli Bell, Matt Chapman, Charlotte Hawkins and Chris Hughes took charge, offering up to date reports, commentary and fashion insights.

It was down to Kaye to break the news to viewers that Loose Women was ending after only half an hour. Sitting next to panellists Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter, the anchor was leading a discussion on if they were up on 'street slang,' before she cut Janet off and said: "That's seems like a very, very good point to say goodbye to everyone doesn't it?

"That's it for today's show; short but very sweet.," before adding that Coleen, Janet and Brenda would all be back on Wednesday, which will also only be a half hour long show, as Jane Moore sits in the hosting chair.
