Loose Women go grey and distraught Janet Street-Porter nearly bursts into tears

The Loose Women looked fabulous as they went grey on today's show in tribute to Sharon Osbourne.

Sharon has debuted her biggest transformation in years by having '100% white hair' after dyeing it red every week for 18 years.

Praising Sharon's "super sexy silver look", the Loose ladies decided they couldn't let her have all the fun.

Andrea McLean claimed that the grey look suited Janet, but the unhappy panellist insisted she looked "awful".

Distraught Janet then threw off her wig when she saw a before and after side by side split of her new grey locks and usual red head.

Janet shouted: "It's horrible. It makes men feel 108. I’ve had red hair…I’m getting upset now. I always get emotional. I want my normal hair back."

Brenda Edwards rushed over to help Janet restore her usual hair after she pleaded for help.

Janet then explained that she found a grey hair in one of her eyebrows the other day and asked what it meant.

Giggling Coleen Nolan replied: "Wait til you find one in your chin."

Coleen claimed her hair was "rubbish either way" and she was not a fan because she "looks like Mrs Brown".

But Brenda was flooded with compliments and thought she looked "fabulous".

Loose Women viewers took to Twitter after seeing the ladies in their grey wigs.

One fan said: "Wow..JSP.... what a transformation. ..totally suits platinum blonde"

"Janet looked ok with silver, but definitely preferred the red," added another.

A third said: "It’s all in the cut... I’m not sure those wigs would look good on many"

"Janet @loosewomen you are amazing! I nearly choked on my lunch laughing! I would love to be at a dinner party with you, you would be brilliant," said a fourth.

*Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm
