Looking for Alaska by John Green - review

There was absolutely NOTHING I disliked about this book as it was written to the highest standard! I would say that this book is definitely teenage and in the suspense genre because of the unexpected twist.

My favourite character has to be Pudge or Miles Halter the narrator in the story, which is all told from his point of view. His hopeless teenage crush Alaska is all he can think about in his time at Culuvers Creek Boarding School. My favourite bit in the book is when Alaska's suicide is announced in the school hall. It made me tear up inside and I felt so sorry for Pudge!

His life is turned upside down when his love dies and he feels like he is completely responsible. This is the first book I have read by John Green and would love to read his others. I would recommend this book mostly to girls in love or teenagers into emotional journeys.
