Look North's presenter Harry Gration's new baby is born - BBC has announced

The BBC has today announced the birth of 68-year-old Look North presenter Harry Gration's child.

Harry and wife Helen, 51, announced the pregnancy in June after having traveled to Cyprus for IVF treatment.

Under British law Helen was too old to be eligible for the procedure here.

The couple decided to have another child after their two teenage sons went off to university.

Tweeting about the pregnancy in June Harry - who also has three children from two previous marriages - thanked viewers for their well wishes and joked he still knew his way round changing nappies.

He wrote: "I do appreciate your kind comments.

"In truth it is my wife and twin boys who are the ones to admire in all this.

Harry Gration and wife are having a baby - at the age of 68 and 51.

"They give me the strength to challenge those who say I am mad! And I can change a nappy at 68 ! Regards."
