LOOK: Felix Anudike-Uzomah’s homage to childhood photo at Arrowhead Stadium

Kansas City Chiefs DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah is living out a childhood dream.

His hometown team drafted him in the first round when the 2023 NFL draft was hosted in his hometown. If that’s not a fairy tale type of moment for a college prospect, well I’m not sure what is. Anudike-Uzomah played up I-70 in Manhattan, Kansas at K-State, but the Kansas City, Missouri native grew up rooting for the Chiefs, too.

The team took to Twitter to show that Anudike-Uzomah was “Born to be a Chief.” They shared childhood photos of Anudike-Uzomah. One photo is of him in the team’s old locker room while wearing a Chiefs helmet. The other photo shows him out on the field at Arrowhead Stadium back in the day, but it also shows him visiting Arrowhead Stadium after the draft and re-creating that iconic photo.

Now, Anudike-Uzomah gets to be a little bit more involved as a fan. He’s no longer going to be rooting his team on from the stands at Arrowhead Stadium. He’ll be down on the field, tasked with helping the team win games in 2023 as they pursue another championship following the team’s win in Super Bowl LVII.
