Look: Batting practice home run at Georgia-Mercer baseball game smashes car window

The Georgia baseball team defeated Mercer 13-3 on Friday night in front of a sold-out crowd at Foley Field after jumping out to an early 8-0 lead.

However, the in-game home runs weren’t the only action going on in Athens.

Before the first pitch, 960 The Ref’s Logan Booker spotted a baseball lodged between the dashboard of a car and its windshield. The ball had smashed through the glass, creating a ripple effect and fallen into the car.

Perhaps it was a bit of foreshadowing for what was to come in that 8-run first inning for the Dawgs?
