A long awaited skate park in Dublin’s northside is finally open to the public.
Construction for the Balbriggan skate park is finally complete and it has been certified for use.
The park will be open to the public starting today and the fences which surrounded the park during its construction phase will be removed.
An official opening ceremony will follow in the coming weeks.
A spokesperson for the Facebook page supporting the park said: “It's official - the Balbriggan skatepark is complete and certified for use.
"The fences will be removed and site open to the public later today.
“An official opening ceremony to follow in coming weeks.
“We have one small request: please try and stay off the newly seeded areas to allow the grass to grow successfully.
“Now go and enjoy...and stay safe.”
