London's commuters are celebrating the revival of old fashioned buses as industrial action over the start of the Night Tube service shuts down the Underground.
Scores of the classic route masters, technically retired years ago in favour of more modern vehicles, have been commandeered into service as part of the extra 250 buses helping to cover the strike.

The capital is enduring the second strike in two months after union members from RMT, TSSA, Unite and Aslef strike over the London Mayor’s plans to implement 24-hour Tubes.

So, how's Boris getting to work during the tube strike?
Many commuters appeared broadly positive on social media, with many noting they had a relatively stress-free journey into work this morning.
The strike is expected to end late Thursday evening, with services back to normal by Friday morning.
