London vape shop to host disposable vape farewell party as ban comes into place

The end to disposable vapes is nigh, but before curtain close, a London vape shop will host a farewell party for disposable vapes.

As reported by Convenience Store, on May 31, Mamun Chowdhury, owner of Cloud City Vapes in Whitechapel, will open his doors for a countdown party in partnership with quit smoking campaigners, Riot.

Named BÏ Disposables, the event has been touted as an Ibiza club night in London to give disposable vapes a “proper send off”, with Kurupt FM DJ Danny Rankin on the lineup.

Riot spokesperson, David Donaghy, said: “A countdown party is a very British thing to do, and the disposable vapes ban is a national moment up there with the pub smoking ban. While the devices have helped adult smokers quit, they’re wasteful, bad for the environment, and we’ve always supported the ban.

“We wanted to help the nation say good riddance to disposable for good.”

Chowdhury added that whilst disposable vapes have been a very popular product, he also believes it’s time to say goodbye.

Mas Que Nada Brothers and Samuel Morgan are also set to play at the free event on Saturday night.

Tickets can be reserved via the Riot E-Liquid website if you fancy giving your Lost Mary a proper goodbye.

Riot is an anti-smoking and pro-vape company. The firm has long supported quitting smoking through the sale of its vapes and says its mission is to “liberate” people from “the choking grasp of cigarettes without giving up the things they love.”
