Trains to and from London Euston are facing major disruption until the end of the day after a signalling problem.
Following a fault with the signalling system between London Euston and Watford Junction, lines have reopened but train running between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 120 minutes or revised to allow the service to recover.
Avanti West Coast services between London Euston and Birmingham New Street, Crewe, Chester, Holyhead, Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Piccadilly, Glasgow Central and Edinburgh are affected.
London Northwestern Railway services between London Euston and Tring, Milton Keynes Central, Birmingham New Street and Crewe are also facing the disruption.

Advice issued for London Northwestern Railway customers

They say affected customers can use their icket at no extra cost on:
- Avanti West Coast on any reasonable route
- Chiltern Railway between London Marylebone and Birmingham Snow Hill
- East Midlands Railway between London St Pancras International and Wellingborough
- London Overground between London Euston and Watford Junction
Rail replacement services are in operation between Milton Keynes and Watford Junction and also between Northampton and Wellingborough.
Advice issued for Avanti West Coast customers

According to advice providedon the National Rail webiste passengers can use their ticket at no extra cost on:
- Chiltern Railways services between London Marylebone and Birmingham Moor Street
- CrossCountry services between Manchester Piccadilly and Leicester via Birmingham New Street
- CrossCountry services between Nuneaton and Leicester
- East Midlands Railway services between Crewe and London St Pancras International via Derby
- East Midlands Railway services between London St Pancras International and Leicester
- LNER services between London Kings Cross and Edinburgh and Doncaster and Leeds
- London Northwestern Railway services between London Euston and Crewe / Wolverhampton via Birmingham New Street, and also between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street
- TransPennine Express services between Leeds and Manchester Piccadilly
- TransPennine Express and Northern services between Manchester Piccadilly and Preston
If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
If you no longer wish to travel because your train is delayed or cancelled, you can request a full refund from where you bought your ticket.
Tickets dated for today (Wednesday 1 April) can be used to travel tomorrow (Thursday 2 April).
