London travel news LIVE: Latest Tube and train updates as commuters face morning rush hour

Londoners are making their morning commute, with millions of journeys set to take place this morning.

Poor weather is expected to affect a number of train routes on Wednesday, with the Met Office yellow and amber weather warnings in place.

Tube and Overground update

There is still a good service on the whole of the Tube and Overground.

A12 update

The Southend Arterial Road currently has westbound queues from Wingletye Lane.

Traffic is slow moving along diversion routes, northbound on Ardleigh Green Road, in both directions on Squirrels Heath Lane and westbound on Squirrels Heath Road.

Gubbins Lane has tailbacks southbound, and there are westbound queues on Lower Bedfords Road.

Still a good service

There is still a good service on the whole Tube and Overground network.

A4 update

There are currently lane restrictions on the A4 on Ellesmere Road eastbound between Hogarth Lane and Cedars Road.

Traffic is slow on the approach to the works, with eastbound traffic queues back to Heston.

Rush hour update

As we hit peak rush hour, there is still a good service on all Tube and Overground lines.

There are also no reported issues with train lines running to and from London.

A2 update

A lane is blocked on the A2, on the Rochester Way Relief Road westbound at the junction of Westmount Road due to a vehicle collision.

There are serious delays, with westbound traffic queuing back to Dartford Heath.

Weather affecting rail services

Yellow weather warnings for rain and ice have been issued across parts of England and Scotland, and some rail services will be affected today.

Great Western Railway and ScotRail services have already reported delays and cancellations - please do check your route before setting off and allow extra time for your journey.

Tube and Overground update

There is still a good service on the Tube and Overground - we’ll continue to update you throughout the morning.

London roads clear

There are currently no serious disruptions on London’s roads or the M25 - we’ll let you know should any major incidents arise.

Poor weather affecting trains

London may not be rainy this morning, but Storm Chandra has brought heavy rain, wind and snow across much of the rest of the country, which will affect a number of rail services throughout the day.

Trains on many different lines are expected to be cancelled, delayed, or revised.

The disruption will go on through the rest of the week - please do check your route before you travel, and allow extra time for your journey.
