A woman has been shot in the back and rushed to hospital in south east London, officers have said.
Emergency services arrived at Coston Walk, in Brockley, to reports of a shooting at 8.10pm on Friday.
Police found a woman in her 50s with wounds to her back which they believe was "caused by a firearm".
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the woman and an air ambulance also responded to the incident.
After being first treated at the scene the woman was then taken to hospital.
At this stage, her condition is not known and police are waiting for an update.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "A crime scene is in place. There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue."
Gun crime and knife crime continue to be two of the most prevalent concerns for Londoners.
In an attempt to keep gun crime low and prevent access to illegal firearms, Metropolitan Police launched Operation Elie in March
The operation has seen “Viper teams”, supported by armed officers, patrolling areas based on intelligence related to the transportation of guns.
Commander Dave McLaren, who leads the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, has said that the number of shootings in London has dropped over the last four years.
He said: “When the restrictions were lifted last July sadly we saw the highest volume of lethal barrelled discharges since 2018. As we move out of the latest restrictions we have been working hard across London to prevent a similar spike in gun crime to that seen last year.
“The Met has thousands of dedicated and really passionate officers whose commitment to taking guns off our streets is unwavering. It’s thanks to their work that London continues to be one of the safest global cities in the world.
“Operation Elie is adding to that capability. Never before has this organisation worked harder to tackle gun crime and yielded some great results. Over the last four years we have seen the number of shootings reduce, the number of firearms recovered increase and the number of individuals arrested and charged increase year on year.”
A total of 478 possession of firearms offences were recorded by the Met between May 2020 and April 2021.
