London Restaurant Festival: everything you need to know, including dates, events and more

Many of the capital’s hottest restaurants are on the bill at this year’s London Restaurant Festival, which will see more than 50 food and drink events take place throughout June.

An announcement said the 2024 festival will focus on the “diversity and breadth of the hospitality industry”. Upcoming is “bistro revival”, which will shine a light on the likes of Josephine Bouchon, Leroy and Bistro Freddie, while masterclasses are to feature at the likes of Aragawa and Izakaya of Dreams.

This year’s series kicks off at Vinegar Yard in London Bridge on May 31 — the likes of Bad Boy Pizza and Baba G’s are on the menu — before tastings, supper clubs, restaurant tours and “neighbourhood nights” with local fixtures in zones 2 and 3.

Elsewhere are dim sum nights by chef Andrew Yeo — of Hakkasan and Yauatcha — wine tasting by D.O. Rueda at Madera at Treehouse London, and evening dinners hosted by Pahli Hill’s Avi Shashidara, broadcasting supremo Andi Oliver, and more.

Tasting menu deals are to be on offer from the likes of Flesh & Buns and Pavyllon by Yannick Alleno, who will be doing seven courses for £97.

Chris Wright, managing partner at LRF, said: “London Restaurant Festival offers something for all foodies, and adapts to the ever-evolving trends. Much of London’s restaurant scene now is a much less formal, more convivial experience and LRF embraces this.”

Bookings platform OpenTable is working with the festival this year to help put on special dinners in London.

“We’ve partnered with London Restaurant Festival, and our restaurant partners, to bring more than 180 special menus to diners, showcasing the breadth of incredible restaurants across the capital,” said Laure Bornet from OpenTable.

“From tasting menus created by award-winning chefs to affordable set menus and everything in between, [we will] feature some of London’s most beloved and coveted dining spots.”
