London Marathon 2022: Celebrities from Kate Lawler to Mark Wright pounding the pavement

With its bonkers costumes and charity focus the London Marathon is one of the year's most iconic events.

Some 50,000 people pounded the streets of the capital today - all hoping to raise money for a good cause.

Of course, celebs love the marathon and always rock up to add a bit of to the occasion.

So as their finish times start to come in, we take a look at which celebs got their kit on for a good cause.

Kate Lawler

Big Brother star Kate ran the marathon for the RSPCA.

The mum-of-one, 42, has been training hard for the event, but her day got off to a disastrous start when she revealed her running partner had forgotten her trainers.

Taking to Instagram, she told her followers her pal would be running in high heels.

However, Kate then revealed a spectator at the marathon had offered up her partner's trainers - much to the presenter's delight.

The star then shared a vid of herself as the race kicked off, telling fans she'd already raised £12,300 for her charity.

Mark Wright

TOWIE star Mark Wright, 35, also took part in the race and shared a vid of himself, wife Michelle Keegan as well as his mum and dad as he prepared for the challenge.

Telling his fans he'd 'never done anything like this in his life', Mark later shared a clip of him mid-race, covered in sweat as fans cheered him on.

The reality star made sure he was prepared for the marathon by stripping off to his pants and entering a cryo chamber.

As he made his way into the freezing pod, Mark said: "Three days until the marathon. Cryo chamber, recovery, let's have ya!"

Making his way out, after a chilly few minutes, he then announced: "Oh Jesus. My willy, it shrivelled up. It's frozen!"

However, the star's training looks like it paid off as Mark completed the race in a very respectable 3:41:47.

Greg O'Shea

Love Island's Greg O'Shea, 27, ran the marathon for Alzheimer's Research.

Sharing a pic of him in his kit ahead of the event, he said: "So nervous, but so excited!"

The Olympian then revealed his day hadn't got off to the best of starts after he said he'd left his GPS watch at home.

"I have no idea what pace I'll be doing, so please shout at me to keep me going - I'm going to need the motivation," he told his followers.

Having finished with a cracking time of 4:08:08, it looked like his fans came up trumps!

Harry Judd

McFly star Harry Judd, 36, ran the marathon on behalf of the Children's Trust.

The musician shared a pic of himself outside the registration centre with the caption: "39 hours to go! Exciting energy down at @londonmarathon registration. Good luck to everyone taking part."

Harry then posted a vid of him carefully peeling his name sticker onto his running vest fans congratulated him for raising money for such a good cause.

After completing the 26. 2 miles course today, the star clocked up a fantastic time of 3:14:37!

The TV host is a big fan of the marathon and competed several times (Channel 4)

Chris Evans

TFI star Chris Evans, 56, shared a pic of himself and his pals next to London's Tower Bridge in their running kit the day before the marathon.

The flame-haired presenter looked particularly fetching in a pair of fluorescent yellow plimsolls with navy jogging bottoms.

He captioned the pic: "16 hours and counting. Check out the sky! Check out the trainers! @londonmarathon."

Chris is a huge fan of the marathon, having competed for charity several times.
