London Comic Con 2025: what you need to know

It’s almost time for London’s first major geek event of the year.

The biannual MCM Comic Con brings together cosplayers, movie buffs, and graphic novel enthusiasts under one vibrant roof to swear loyalty to pop culture.

The second instalment of the UK's largest pop culture festival will take place at the end of October.

If you’re going to miss out on both, don’t worry, London Film and Comic Con takes place in July– and with it, the chance of seeing your favourite TV and film actors (kind of) out in the wild.

But when is Comic Con– and who’s going to be there? Here’s our low-down on the weekend.

When is Comic Con London 2025?

MCM will be back from Friday, May 23 to Sunday, May 25.

In terms of the weather, Friday will be a lovely, dry day with lots of sunshine and only a few patches of cloud forming in the afternoon, according to the London weather forecast.

Unfortunately, Saturday and Sunday won’t be as nice.

There will be cloud cover and a lot of rain that moves eastward in the morning. The weather will then turn windy and there will be a few more rainstorms during the day.

Sunday will be windy with sunny intervals, erratic cloud cover, and the possibility of a few light showers in the morning.

Who’s going?

With a stellar lineup of special guests that includes Aaron Dismuke, Lauren Landa, Noshir Dalal, and David Leach, David Tennant is this year's honoured guest.

The Side Quest gaming area, where you can play classic games or try out the newest titles available, and Artist Alley, which features independent comics, are perennial highlights.

If you want to cosplay, sign up to participate in the Cosplay Masquerades on the main stage on Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, you can sign up for Saturday's Cosplay Central Crown Championships.

Are you going for the first time? Then get inspired by last year's cosplayers and turn yourself into a do-it-yourself superhero or graphic novel character.

How do I get tickets?

MCM Comic Con offers two different ticket types: general admission (£25.00–£35.00) and priority entry (£35.00–£40.00).

While general entry ticket holders can enter two hours later, priority entry ticket holders enter as soon as the doors open.

The cost of a three-day priority admission weekend pass is £95.00. Children under 10 go in free.

Tickets can bought on the MCM Comic Con website.

How to get to Comic Con

The massive ExCel Hall is the venue for the event. Your best option for travel that day is Customs House or Prince Regent on the DLR.

Event organisers have the right to abruptly change entrance criteria, schedules, or cancel events. Prior to attending an event, always check the official websites.
