• London Charing Cross and Waterloo East stations are closed for 22 days, from 26 July to 16 August, for a £20 million track upgrade.
• The essential improvements include installing 1,800 metres of new track, upgrading drainage at Waterloo East, rebuilding platforms at Charing Cross, and structural repairs on the 175-year-old Hungerford Bridge.
• Southeastern services into Charing Cross will be diverted to London Victoria, London Cannon Street, London Blackfriars, and London Bridge.
• Commuters can use alternative routes via the London Underground, Thameslink, and Southern services, with tickets accepted on these routes.
