London Broncos left kicking themselves after Castleford thrashing extends losing streak

London Broncos coach Danny Ward has called on his players to kick smarter after succumbing to a third straight Super League defeat.

The club, who won their first match of the season, dropped to 10th in the 12-team league following the 40-6 home defeat to Castleford.

“It’s a tough one to take and it’s a lesson learned,” said Ward. “We don’t think we could do much more. We competed well and threw the ball around, yet went in at half-time three tries down. We gave them too much of the ball in the second half. We kept kicking it to them.”

Seven different players scored tries for the Tigers, who go top of the league, ahead of Warrington Wolves on points difference.
